For those who are serious about learning about acne, go beyond basic understanding. This article gives you information that will help you take a closer look at acne. The information here is simple. Be careful that you don’t allow important information about acne get past you.

I’m sure that each of you knows about acne. Most of us have had this skin disorder, am I right? Technically, it’s known as acne vulgaris. It’s a skin problem that affects millions of people from all over the world. According to studies, it seems that most often, adolescents are the target of this skin disease. However, infants and adults may also be affected. About 80% of teenagers get acne, especially women.

What is acne? Some studies show that acne outbreaks range from mild to very severe. It is formed when the lining of the pores and ducts and the sebaceous glands begin to make more oil. When acne starts, the duct lining will actually shed cells which are floated to the surface of the skin by sebum. This blocks the duct, causing the sebum and dead skin cells to form a mass, plugging the pore. This plug is called a comedo. If the plug stays below the skin, it forms a whitehead or closed comedo. If the plug pops up out of the duct, it’s called an open comedo, or blackhead. Blackheads are not dirt, and you can’t wash then away.

Many factors contribute to outbreaks of acne, but no one is certain what actually causes it, or why it begins in the teenage years. But, factors such as heredity are at the top of the list. In fact, heredity has been considered the greatest factor in the development of acne for a long time. Most people think that if someone in your family had acne, then you probably will too.

Even though acne makes a big impact on the life of a teenager, you shouldn’t let it rule you. You can fight acne in many ways.

Healthy lifestyle is one of the most effective ways to fight acne. Experts say that the only way to get the best results from any treatment is through the addition of a healthy lifestyle. This includes your diet, sleep patterns, the way you play, etc. Try to focus on every area that needs changing. It’s important so that sustained effort will make a difference.

If your objective is to get rid of pesky acne, you need to treat your whole body and all aspects of your life. Overcoming stress is one of the biggest problems in fighting acne. Stress is not a normal part of life. So, when you get stressed out, what happens? Experts have discovered that the adrenal cortex turns adrenal androgens into testosterone in both men and women. This extra testosterone sitmulates the sebaceous glands, which cause acne. In addition, women’s ovaries produce 25% of the testosterone, and the adrenal cortex produces the other 75%. The more stress you encounter, the more testosterone is produced. This causes more oil on the T-zone of your face, even if your body is dehydrated. The addition of colon cleanse tablets to your supplements will help to regulate the hormone levels that tend to build up. Adult acne can sometimes a by-product of a combination of stress and dehydration. In addition, water and estrogen calm the body’s stress system.

You are now an expert on acne. Well, maybe not, but you now have something to talk about at parties,

Old wives’ tales say that acne is caused by greasy food and chocolate. However, many dermatologist say there is not science to support this assumption. I, on the other hand, believe that what you eat will affect your overall health. This includes the health of your skin. Sugary food, too much caffeine, greasy food, snacks with lots of fat in them – they all negatively affect our bodies.

Also, if you don’t drink enough water, your body will not be able to repair its skin and form new tissue. If you are susceptible to outbreaks of acne, a poor diet will just make the problem worse. For instance, everyone knows that too much sugar are simple carbohydrates will make your insulin surge. IGF-1 also causes an overabundance of keratinocytes, dealing a tremendous blow to your complexion. In addition, doctors have warned for years of the danger of having too many saturated fats and trans fats in your diet. The saturated fats have a negative effect on your systems, weakening your immune system and causing inflammation. Colon cleanse tablets will also help flush the fats from your body, making it healthier. For those who suffer from acne, the inflammation caused by saturated fats and the increase in oil production have terrible effects.

In order to gain and maintain a great complexion, keep good foods and plenty of water going through your body. Get rid of saturated fats as much as possible because they will fight against you as you strive to get rid of acne. Remember, though, that some oils are actually healthy for you. These are the fatty acids. They reduce inflammation and make your skin, nails, and hair healthy. So add a little flax seed oil, olive oil, or fish oil to your diet.

Make sure, too, that you have plenty of balanced vitamins in your system. For healthy skin, make sure you get vitamin A, found in carrots and avocados. Other vitamins and minerals vital to your health are B-6, C, and Zinc.

Next, consider any food allergies you may have. Even if you eat a healthy diet and never have had acne, you may develop acne if you develop a food allergy. If this happens, start drinking more water and try to figure out the food causing the problem. Common food allergies are dairy, sugar, and refined flours. In addition, try to avoid foods loaded in iodine such as excess salt, cheese, liver, shellfish, crabs, kelp, and clams. If you use iodized salt, switch to sea salt. Instead of milk, try soy milk or rice milk. You can also get cheese made from soy and rice.

It may be that the only way to determine whether or not your acne is related to your diet is through going through a diet change. Make just a few diet changes at first, and see if that helps. If it doesn’t, keep making changes. The healthier you may be worth it, anyway!

Most people know that the majority of people with acne don’t go to the doctor for their problem. Here, you’ll look at the idea of consulting a specialist in skin conditions. These doctors are called dermatologists, and they can provide you with important information and pointers on treating your acne. If you have moderate acne problems, you may be able to use over the counter, or OTC medication. However, please get the advice of a dermatologist if you have severe acne. He can give you a prescriptions that will ease your discomfort.

Keep in mind, though, that you may also benefit from prescription treatment even if your acne is mild. Prescriptions are much more powerful and effective than OTC treatments.

Two kinds of prescriptions that are often used are antibiotics and ointments. The antibiotic is the most common medication used in treatment of acne. The antibiotics can be in lotion form or taken as an oral medication. Tetracycline is usually prescribed. It kills the bacteria that contribute to the formation of acne, and it also reduces inflammation. So, the swollen, red bumps will go away as the antibiotic is processed through your system. You should, however, know that the antibiotic will probably take several weeks to begin working. It may even take a few months. In addition, when your acne seems to have gone away, you’ll need to continue the antibiotic treatment to keep the acne from coming back. Tetracycline and other antibiotics can have side effects, too. For one thing, you have to stay out of the sun. With increased sun sensitivity, you will be prone to severe sunburn. Antibiotics may also cause you to feel dizzy, or have an upset stomach.

Ointments that come in prescription form include zinc or retinoids, along with antibiotics. There are usually fewer side effects with antibiotic ointment. If the ointment also has benzoyl peroxide, it will help keep the bacteria from developing a resistance to antibiotics. The use of colon cleanse tablets will rid your body of toxins that may have built up in your colon and intestines, causing your skin to break out.

Retinoid is a form of vitamin A. It can be applied right on the skin, and comes in a cream or lotion form. The retinoids are really helpful in treating whiteheads and blackheads, because they open the pores allowing impurities to be flushed from the pores. Retinoids may cause dry skin.

If antibiotics and retinoid cream don’t work on your acne, you may be prescribed oral retinoids. This will cause the outer layer of your skin to exfoliate, taking dead skin cells, excess oils, and impurities with it. This will open more pores. Oral retinoids will also cut back on the amount of sebum your body produces. Sebum is the oil in your skin that clogs pores. However, if you are a female and take oral retinoids, you will have to take great precautions against getting pregnant. Retinoids can cause serious birth defects in unborn children. They also can cause serious depression and damage to your liver. If you start taking oral retinoids, you’ll need to follow up regularly with your dermatologist. He can monitor your side effects and help keep any complications for occurring.

If you have any questions about OTC medicines, ask your dermatologist about them. He can give you a good prescription and advice, as well, for effective skin treatment to prevent acne.

Acne is an inflammatory condition that occurs most commonly on the face, neck, upper back, and chest. It us usually caused by the interaction that occurs between bacteria that normally resides on the skin, sebum produced by the skin’s oil glands, and hormones naturally present in the person’ system.

With acne, comedones, or pimples, pustules, and cysts will form in the pores of the skin. Pimples, or comedones, are blackheads and white heads. Pustules are whiteheads that have become infected and full of pus, and cysts are pustules that have grown deeply into the skin, forming hard painful lumps beneath the skin. While acne is usually triggered by the onset of puberty, many people will have acne all through their lives.

Women especially will encounter acne during their menstrual cycle and when beginning or ceasing oral contraceptives. This is due to changing hormone levels.

The type of treatment you receive for your acne depends on the severity of breakouts. If you have a mild case, you may be able to just wash your face with a gentile soap. Drying agents, like benzoyl peroxide, are also helpful in reducing the amount of oil in your skin.

A severe case of acne may need oral antibiotics, like tetracycline, or hormones like dianette. Dianette also acts as contraceptive.

Acne is what they call plugged skin pores, pimples, and the deep knots that you may get on your face and neck, on your chest or back, or on your shoulders and upper arms. There is not just one factor that causes acne.

Doctors say that acne occurs with the onset of puberty, when the oil glands begin secreting sebum. They are stimulated by male hormones that both boys and girls produce. Anything that might stimulate the growth of skin cells should be avoided. This includes excessive scrubbing. Just gently wash your face a couple of times a day with a mild soap, and pat it dry gently.

You may also find that hot, humid conditions cause your skin cells to become inflamed, blocking the ducts. You’ll find that the face-steaming tactics popular with so many people are actually harmful in the case of acne.

It has also been proven that acne is related to stress. If you are under a great deal of emotional stress, you’re more likely to have breakouts. Also, physical stress can trigger a breakout. So don’t be surprised if you have a breakout of acne after a bad case of the flu, or if you have received an injury.

Female hormones will cause acne breakouts before a woman’s period. This is because just before a woman start her period, her body begins changing female hormones to male hormones.

Avoid picking your pimples. Picking and squeezing them will force even more impurities deeply into your layers of skin and cause even worse inflammation. You also have germs on your fingers, which may be passed on to your face.

While fresh air and sunshine is good for you, too much exposure to sun will inflame your skin, making the problem worse. Furthermore, you should avoid sun exposure while you’re undergoing some treatments. Your medication should tell you if you need to avoid the sun.

Water-based cover cream can disguise pimples without making the problem worse. Oily makeup and creams usually make everything worse.

Severe acne outbreaks can be treated with certain forms of vitamin A, usually called Retin-A or tretimoin. You’ll apply this cream every night. It will take about 3 weeks to start making a difference. The version taken orally is Roaccutane. It works very well, but can cause horrible birth defects if you get pregnant while you’re taking it. Administration of this drug is strictly monitored, and you’ll have to take pregnancy tests. The benefits of this treatment, however, will last a long time.

Sometimes, acne can be completely cured. If your acne is mild or moderate, OTC products can clear the sebaceous glands in your skin. Follow the directions exactly. Taking colon cleanse tablets will clear your system of a buildup of toxins that cause acne. For more severe and persistent outbreaks, see a doctor. He may prescribe medicine. Severe forms of acne may require treatment by a dermatologist. Since improvement may take as long as 8 weeks, you’ll have to be patient and keep up the treatments. If there is no improvement in that period of time, go back to your doctor.

Acne, a common skin disease, affects people about the time they reach puberty, and may last until the mid 40s. Another term for acne is Youvana pitikas, meaning “eruptions of youth” in ayurveda. Ayurveda describes different causes of acne, and gives ideas for some natural acne remedies, as well.

What Causes Acne?

There are many oild glands in your akin, called “sebaceous glands”. They are in the skin on the upper part of your body, specifically the face, chest, back, and shoulders. As you go through puberty or menopause, sex hormones produced in both female and male, the glands become very active. They produce oil called sebum. This sebum makes your skin very oily. Excessive oil will clog your skin pores and the hair follicles, forming acne. Blocked pores act as the perfect habitat for bacteria.

Bacteria can cause infections in the clogged pores and follicles. This produces inflammation and pimples. Two of the most common doshas are Vata and Kapha, which influence outbreaks of acne. Raktadhatu, blood, is also important in forming acne. Vata, when vitiated because of an unhealthy diet or lifestyle, affects the other two doshas, aggravating them. When pitta become aggravated, they affect rakta dhatu. The blood that has been vitiated will also affect the skin, causing more secretion of the sebaceous glans.

Kapha is sticky. The aggravated kapha adds stickiness to the secretions of the sebaceous glands, forming thick plugs in the skin pores and follicles. This contributes to the acne outbreak.

Acne gets worse when you get an accumulation of dirt, chemicals, or grease on your skin. Increased stress levels also intensifies the outbreak. If you squeeze or pinch the pimples, it can make the problem worse. Hormonal changes during your period, menopause, or puberty also makes it worse. Steroids and hormone therapy can also cause acne.

Take care to avoid extreme acne outbreaks. You can do this by avoiding foods with lots of spices, or that are dry foods or oily foods. These can cause heartburn which leads to vitiation of vata.

The most common skin disorder among teens is acne. At lease 70% of adolexcents are affected with acne, and it is judged to be one of the most common and damaging diseases in the sensitive period of teen-agers’ lives, since it can cause damage to the self esteem since a kid can be make fun of for his spotty complexion.

In order to solve this skin problem, the medical community has come up with several acne medications and therapies. Each of these solutions are cautiously studied to determine the most effective treatments. However, one still asks, which is the most effective? Here is a list of different acne treatments based on the severity of the outbreak.

Juvenile Acne

Otherwise known as teenage spots, juvenile acne can often be treated with OTC medicines that are applied topically. This is the type of acne considered the easiest to cure. Some prescriptions are also available for teenage acne. These prescription creams will have antibiotics, Adapalene, benzoyl peroxide, and tretinoin. They will help to kill bacteria that causes infections in the pores, and they’ll reduces inflammation in the pores, as well. A dermatologist will evaluate the type of skin you have, and prescribe the appropriate treatment. For instance, if you have oily skin, gels and solutions will be better for you since they have some alcohol in them and will dry out the skin a little more, these medicines are tested first before they were considered effective acne treatments. On an individual basis, medicines will be tested to see if they work on your skin. Watch for side effects such as burning, redness, stinging, rashes, scaliness and discoloration.

Moderate to Severe Acne

If you have moderate to severe acne, you’ll often have more whiteheads, with redness more noticeable because of rupturing of the vessels. Severe acne is on the entire face, neck, and back, and usually has bigger spots. Treatment for this kind of acne is usually oral antibiotics. The antibiotics will kill bacteria that cause acne and reduce inflammation, with moderate to severe acne, you’ll often have a combination of treatments including oral medicine and a topical medicine. For instance sulphur will exfoliate the skin, getting rid of blackheads. There are no known side effects from using sulphur, but you should still test it before you just dive in. Some good oral antibiotics for acne are tetracycline, isotretinoin, minocycline, erythromycin, and doxicycline. However, most oral medications are dangerous to pregnant women and the unborn child. The only one safe for pregnant women in erythromycin. You can also take colon cleanse tablets to get the toxins out of your body. Toxins cause acne.

Many times, a person with acne suffers low self esteem, damaging their psychological health and creating stress. An understanding of what causes acne may help reduce breakouts and emotional damage.

Most of the time, hormones are the cause of acne. The oil glands in the skin produce excess oil, which mixes with dead skin cells. This blocks the hair follicles. As the pores become blocked, they continue producing oil, providing an environment that promotes the formation of Propionibacterium acnes – a skin bacteria. This inflames the skin, causing a lesion visible to the naked eye. While about 85% of all people between age 11 and 30 have occasional breakouts, they can happen long into adulthood.

Most often, however, those who suffer most frequently from acne are adolescents and young adults. Acne can be caused by many factors:
• Menstrual cycles and puberty bring on many hormonal changes.
• Stress creates an increased hormone output from the adrenal glands.
• Overactive sebaceous glands produce too much oil.
• Dead skin cells fail to exfoliate, and clog pores.
• Bacteria trapped in pores cause acne.
• Scratching and other skin irritation can cause inflammation.
• Anabolic steroids can cause acne.
• Halogens in medication can cause acne:
o Iodides
o Chlorides
o Bromides
o Lithium
o Barbiturates
o Androgens
• Chlorinated dioxins cause acne when you are suddenly exposed to them.

In adult acne, about one fourth of adult men and half of adult women will battle acne occasionally during their adulthood. It can have the same psychological effects as with adolescents. While the exact causes of adult acne are uncertain, it is usually traced to one of two things:
• Recurring adolescent acne
• Occasional flare-ups after lying dormant for a while, as during pregnancy.

If you are an adult beset by acne, it’s best to go to a dermatologist for treatment. You can also use Clear Skin Regimen with benzoyl peroxide. Adult and teen acne are treated the same way.

Body acne is quite common, and occurs on the chest, buttocks, and back most commonly. The cause of body acne is the same as face acne – stress and hormones. Other contributors to body acne are perspiration and tight clothing. The tight clothing traps the moisture from perspiration against the body, where it mixes with body oils, clogging pores and creating acne.

Treatment of body acne is usually directed toward healing lesions and preventing the formation of new lesions, thereby preventing scarring. Dermatologists will recommend many different OTC medications which contain the following:
• Benzoyl peroxide, which reduces oil secretion and destroys acne.
• Resorcinol, which breaks down whiteheads and blackheads.
• Salicylic acid, which also breaks down whiteheads and blackheads, but also helps keep the hair follicles from shedding so many cells.
• Sulfur, which works on the whiteheads and blackheads.

The dermatologist may also write prescriptions for medications which contain the following:
• Antibiotics, which slow or stop the growth of bacteria that cause acne, and reduce inflammation as well.
• Vitamin A, which helps to unplug comedones (whiteheads and blackheads) so that topical medication can be more easily absorbed.
• Benzoyl peroxide
• Sodium sulfacetamide (sulfur)
• Azelaic acid, which reduces oil production and slows the growth of bacteria. It also eases inflammation.

If you receive these treatments, you may cure your acne, and spare yourself the psychological pain that is caused by this disease. Also taking colon cleanse tablets will help rid your body of toxins that cause acne.

What if someone told you that most of what you know about acne is a myth? Here are some of the most popular myths about acne.

Myth 1: Stress causes acne.

This is not entirely true. Stress does not cause acne, but it can cause a recurrence. Stress causes the body to produce a stress hormone called cortisol. This cortisol cause sebaceous glands to produce an increased amount of sebum, which is the oil that can block your pores. So, stress indirectly contributes acne, but doesn’t cause it. As a side note, some of the medication you may take to fight stress may actually cause acne.

Myth 2: Acne is contagious.

This is not true. Acne is not a communicable disease.

Myth 3: Just leave acne alone and you’ll outgrow it.

While most forms of acne are prevalent in teenagers and young adults, some forms do exist through adulthood. And, if you have severe acne, you should get medical help to prevent it from getting worse and scarring.

Myth 4: Sunlight helps acne.

Sun does not help acne. It will redden your skin, so that the redness and blemishes of your skin don’t show up as much, but the suns rays will actually damage your skin and cause more irritation. This will worsen any acne already present, and clog more pores as the sun damaged cells dry up and become clogged in the pores. Use caution when getting sun, and wear sunscreen.
Myth 5: Sweat will clean out your pores.

This is not true. The reality is that strenuous activity may actually increase the oil production of your pores, causing worse acne problems. It can also cause a recurrence of acne, or intensify the acne you already have.

Myth 6: Acne problems are related to the presence or absence of sexual activity.

While the hormonal changes teenagers are going through will cause acne, the amount of sexual activity of teenagers or adults does not affect acne.

Myth 7: Acne is caused by people not staying clean.

Acne is not caused by dirt. It is caused when oil, dead skin, and bacteria get trapped in skin pores.

Myth 8: Acne is only skin deep.

While the acne may only affect the surface layers of your skin, the emotional scarring from the embarrassment and teasing often leave long-lasting negative effects on the sufferer. The depression and damaged self-esteem can affect a person’s entire lifetime. It can also be a symptom of a buildup of toxins in your body’s systems that need to be cleansed.

Myth 9: There is a cure for acne.

There is no cure for acne, but there are many treatments that reduce the ferocity of outbreaks, reduce the likelihood of further breakouts, and reduce the likelihood of scarring. There are many products on the market that can ease your discomfort. For instance colon cleanse tablets will help your body shed toxins that can be excreted through your pores, causing acne.

There you have 9 myths that are dispelled. You can go forth armed with knowledge to fight acne.

Acne is an inflammatory skin condition that usually occurs on the face, chest, neck and upper back. It cause is an interaction between the hormones that occur naturally in your skin and the sebum secreted by the sebaceous glands. The problem is acerbated by bacteria that naturally live on the surface of the skin.

The symptoms of acne are comedones, which is a fancy word for pimples. Pimples are small red bumps. Pustiles may develop from the comedones when they become infected, and cysts will develop if the situation worsens.

Traditionally, acne is thought to plague those going through puberty. However, many times women, especially, will have acne throughout their lives. It can even develop during adulthood. Acne outbreaks occur often premenstrually, and may also be associated with the beginning or ceasing of treatment with oral contraceptives. This is probably because of the hormone levels.

Acne treatment depends on the severity of the outbreak. For mild outbreaks, a gentile soap is good for cleansing the face, and a drying agent like benzoyl peroxide helps control the oil. Severe outbreaks of acne may require oral antibiotics or hormone therapy. Tetracycline is a popular antibiotic for acne, and dianette is a common hormonal treatment that also provides a contraceptive service.

Acne is the term applied to several forms of face impurities such as pimples, plugged pores, and deep lumps that happen on the neck, back, face, check, shoulders, and upper arms. While there is no one cause of acne, physicians report that it usually begins when puberty begins and the sebaceous glands begin functioning. The glands are stimulated by male hormones from the adrenal glands in both girls and boys.

At Acne Treatment Care.com, we’ve compiled the most recent information on acne, its causes and treatments, and symptoms, as well. There are also many home remedies for acne. Here is some important information about acne.

• Scrubbing your face stimulates the growth of skin cells. This can block ducts. Limit your face washing to 2 times a day, and rub gently with mild soap. Dry your face gently, so that the ducts don’t become blocked.

• Heat and humidity will cause skin cells to become inflamed, increasing the chances of blocked pores. By the same token, face steaming devices can damage your face.

• When you are under a lot of stress, either physically or emotionally, you may have worse acne outbreaks. This is because of the hormones released by your body to help fight stress.

• Women may notice increased outbreaks just before their periods. This is because of increased hormones, and the conversion of female hormones to male hormones.

• Picking and squeezing your pimples may introduce infection to your face because of germs on your fingers. Also, it may squeeze the sebum deeper into the skin, creating a worse problem.

• While fresh air and sunshine is good for you, too much sun can make acne worse. It causes inflammation which will cause pores to clog even worse. Also, if you are taking certain medications, you should stay out of the sun. Get information from your doctor about whether or not you can get sunshine while you’re taking medications.

• You can use a water-based cover-up cream to cover spots without worrying about it making the problem worse.

• Makeup and soaps with oil in them make acne worse.

• If you have really severe acne, you can try derivatives of vitamin A. It’s often called tretimoin ore Retin-A. This is usually in cream form that is used twice a day, and takes around three weeks to start making a difference.

• The oral version of Retin-A is called Roaccutane, but while it is excellent in the treatment of acne, it can cause horrible birth defects if the mother gets pregnant. This drug is fully monitored because of potential side effects, but is works very well in fighting long-term acne.

Mild acne is usually easily dealt with through the use of over the counter medications. The prevent the blocking or sebaceous ducts and skin pores. Follow the instructions carefully on these products.

If you have persistent or severe acne, go see a dermatologist. It takes about 6 weeks to see any improvement, so you’ll have to be patient and persevere in your treatment. You can also take colon cleanse tablets to help flush excess toxins from your body, so that your skin will be healthier.

Pimples, or to use the technical term acne vulgaris, is inflammation of the pores of the skin. It’s very common in teenagers, but usually disappears, or at least decreases, as the person reaches his 20s. Acne is caused when a comedo forms in a pore. You can’t see a comedo, but it is underneath the surface and plugs the pore with oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells. If the conditions are right, it will become inflamed. Continue reading →
Causes, Treatments, and Types of Acne is a post from: Colon Cleanse Tablets

It’s very common in teenagers, but usually disappears, or at least decreases, as the person reaches his 20s. Acne is caused when a comedo forms in a pore. You can’t see a comedo, but it is underneath the surface and plugs the pore with oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells. If the conditions are right, it will become inflamed. This happens when oil in the skin helps the bacteria to grow, swelling the follicle.

There are two types of non-inflammatory acne: closed comedo, which are white heads, and open comedo which are black heads.

There are four different kinds of inflammatory acne. A papule is the mildest kind of acne. It is a small pink bump that is firm to the touch. A pustule is the same thing that has become a small lesion with visible pus in it. They will become red at the base, the center will be yellow or white.

The nodule, or cyst, is large and painful. They extend deeply into the skin and are full of pus. This type of acne will last for weeks, and even months, with the oils, bacteria, white blood cells, and dead skin cells hardening into a cyst deep in the skin. These types of cysts and nodules can leave scarring.

Acne conglobata is a serious bacterial infection that occurs usually on the chest, back, and buttocks. There are several causes of this type of acne, including hormones, sebum, loss of hair, bacteria, and inflammation.

To control acne, try not to wash your face too much. It can dry out your healthy skin, and irritate areas prone to acne. Also, if you over-wash your face, you may stimulate more production of sebum.

Avoid using alcohol on your skin. It’s an astringent, ant the stripping action of the alcohol will actually cause your sebaceous glands to work overtime.
When you squeeze or pick at pimples, you actually push the bacteria deeper into the pore, creating the possibility of even worse scarring.

Wash your face after exercising. The heat from exercise will trap moisture against the skin and breed and spread bacteria.

Get lots of vitamins. Vitamins A, B-2, B-3, and E are vital to a healthy body. Take colon cleanse tablets to rid your body of toxins that will exit through your skin.

Try not to wear much makeup while you exercise. Don’t wear clothing made from just nylon.

Laser surgery has become common in treating acne scars, but in the meantime, try treating your acne with products containing azelaic acid, tropical retinoids, salicylic acid, and benzoyl peroxide. Many people also use herbal treatments.
