This form of soluble fibre is metabolised in the colon by bacteria and can therefore create amounts of gas. Inulin is not broken down into monosaccharide’s so it will not cause an increase in blood sugar levels and can contribute to the prevention of high spikes in blood sugar levels, which occurs when most carbohydrate rich foods are eaten. Inulin has a range of sweetness from subtle to mild and from one third to a quarter less than the sweetness of sugars such as sucrose. It therefore contributes to the sweet taste of some products without the added calories prebiotic Inulin oroligofructose is added to commercial products also for their function as prebiotics. Prebiotics are those non-digestible substances that help the good bacteria.</p>

• Banana is a bad GI at 51 and medium GL of 13<br />
• Carrots are borderline GI at 47 and low in GL of 3<br />
• Corn is a GI of 47 and low GL at 7</p>

Why are people consulting it for weight loss and healthy diet advice? The Glycemic Index, or GI, measures the effects of different food on the human blood sugar level. It labels how quickly carbohydrates are processed into the blood stream, raising blood sugar levels. If a food has a low GI score, it means it is released slowly into the system, keeping those levels stable. A high GI score means it causes a spike in blood sugar levels, caused by insulin. Insulin is a fast worker, when there is excessive blood sugar, and deposits the excess sugar in muscles cells. This stored energy, or glycogen keeps the body going, but when the muscles are full, the rest goes into fat cells. Since the insulin is overreacting, it depletes the blood sugar very quickly, causing the famous energy crash. Foods with a low GI score don’t cause the insulin spike, giving the blood sugar a stable reading over a long period of time because of the slow release of insulin. There are also fewer fat cells formed. This is why low GI food keeps your energy up, and you don’t get hungry as soon after eating a meal.</p>
<p>The GI compares the release of the sugars in different foods in relation to the rate of pure glucose. Pure glucose has a score of 100. If food releases at 70 or higher, it rates as a rapid release, making it a high GI food. These are the foods that should be avoided. Medium GI foods of 56 to 69 are ok in limited quantities. Food with a score of 55 or below is a slow release food, and good for any time. You can affect the GI value of an entire meal by combining the different values. For instance a potato has a GI value of 90 and a chicken breast with 0 on the GI scale would average out in the 45 range scale. So you don’t have to give up high GI foods, just make sure your overall diet is low on the GI.</p>
<p>High GI foods are white flour, cakes, muffins, white potatoes, bananas, and honey. Medium GI foods are red potatoes, jelly and jam, bran muffins, and whole wheat bread. Most tropical fruits are also medium GI. Low GI foods are vegetables, northern fruits, sweet potatoes, whole grain cereal, and meat and dairy products. You can also include popcorn and nuts. Calories still count, of course, so you’ll have to watch that. A low GI diet also helps to control your appetite. So, eating a balanced GI diet and taking colon cleanse tablets will help you have more steady blood sugar levels.</p>

As a personal trainer, my clients are always coming to me for advice on how to take better care of their swimsuits. A few have approached with questions about colon cleansing weight loss. Until recently, I could offer little in the way of useful advice. Finally, I decided to investigate the matter myself. </p>
<p>Let&#8217;s face it, the average American diet leaves much to be desired. It is a diet largely carbhydrates buying refined white sugar and saturated fats. </p>
<p>Yuck! </p>
<p>The problem with these foods, which refers to colon cleansing and weight loss is actually 2 times: </p>
<p>1) The sugars and fats are high in calories, and if eaten in excess, can lead to increased body fat. </p>
<p>2) The sugars and fats are not the dietary fiber, which is critical for the elimination of food in the colon. </p>
<p>Consequently, if a person&#8217;s diet is low in fiber, it is likely that a large accumulation of digested food accumulating in the colon. This buildup can add up to 10-15 pounds of unwanted weight! </p>
<p>Are we getting enough fiber? </p>
<p>Probably not. The average person has 10-15 grams of fiber a day. We need 25-35 grams of fiber for efficient waste disposal. </p>
<p>The solution? </p>
<p>If you guessed colon cleansing, you&#8217;re right on the money! Colon cleansing helps eliminate the impact of waste on the walls of the small intestine. The deletion of these stools can be affected in a weight loss of 10 pounds or more! </p>
<p>Of course, you lose weight is not body fat. However, individuals report dramatic increases in levels of vitality and energy after a colon cleanse. The end result of colon cleansing and weight loss is much better in a swimsuit! </p>
